UCCRN European Hub will host a science-practice session at the European Climate Change Adaptation Conference ECCA2019 in Lisbon for the official European launch of ARC 3-2 Climate Change and Cities: Second Assessment Report of the Urban Climate Change Research Network.

The UCCRN Urban Design Climate Workshop sessions will allow representatives from Durban to integrate and scale up mitigation and adaptation principles by reducing energy consumption in the built environment, strengthening urban climate resilience, and enhancing human comfort and quality of life.

The workshop, part of the UCCRN UCDW – Urban Climate Design Workshop workshop series, is promoted by the Department of Architecture (DiARC) of University of Naples Federico II, within the Research Project SIMMCITIES_NA, in partnership with UCCRN - Urban Climate Change Network, New York Institute of Technology, University of Paris-East Marne la Vallée, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.

Urban Design Climate Lab Workshops are underway worldwide with urban designers, urban planners, climatologists, policymakers, stakeholders and graduate students working side-by-side. The New York City Urban Design Climate Workshop (UDCW) was held on 11 August in New York City at the New York Institute of Technology, 1855 Broadway (at 61st Street). 

Mattia Leone (University of Naples Federico II), with Jeffrey Raven (New York Institute of Technology) will be present at 10th International Conference on Urban Climate / 14th Symposium on the Urban Environment, in the session “Urban Design and Planning with Climate”.

2017 Climate Change World Summit was hold in Agadir (Moracco) from September 11 to 13 2017. The workshops were co-led by a panel of UCCRN European and American experts: Napoli, Italy and East Midtown Manhattan, New-York.
