The UCCRN European Hub will host a science-practice session at the European Climate Change Adaptation Conference ECCA2019 in Lisbon for the official European launch of ARC3.2 Climate Change and Cities: Second Assessment Report of the Urban Climate Change Research Network. The session will include an overview of the book and ongoing UCCRN initiatives, including presentations from ARC3.2 authors Chantal Pacteau (Paris), Luc Abbadie (Paris), Mattia Leone (Naples), Reimund Schwarze (Leipzig), and Martin Lehmann (Aalborg).
The session is oriented to disseminate the key messages from ARC3.2 and discuss potential pathways for their implementation, supporting the activities of the UCCRN Regional Hubs in leading a global, sustained, city-focused climate change knowledge and solutions program by strengthening ongoing collaborations and knowledge exchange both for and with cities of various sizes.
