International Conference Energy transition, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction. Perspectives in research and practice in Napoli

The event is promoted by the Department of Architecture (DiARC) of University of Naples Federico II, within the Research Project SIMMCITIES_NA, in partnership with UCCRN - Urban Climate Change Network, New York Institute of Technology, University of Paris-East Marne la Vallée, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.

The initiative is part of the International Research Week "Environmental design for climate adaptation. Prefiguring transition models for urban districts", held at the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II from 3 to 12 October, which include the international UCDW – Urban Climate Design Workshop focused on the area of Ponticelli (East Naples), involving over 60 international students and scholars.

Within the International Conference will be presented the book ARC3-2 Climate Change and Cities - Second Assessment Report of the Urban Climate Change Research Network (Cambridge University Press 2018), with the prexence of the lead authors of the Urban Planning and Urban Design Chapter Jeffrey Raven, Gerald Mills and Mattia Leone, and the Co-Director of the UCCRN European Hub Chantal Pacteau.
