Métropole du Grand Paris
The Greater Paris Metropolis, an inter-municipal public institution created in 2016, takes concrete steps for the benefit of its 7.2 million inhabitants. Since its establishment, the essential role of the Metropolis has become evident - it addresses economic, social and cultural development challenges while improving international attractiveness and environment protection. Through its well-being and environment protection initiatives, the Greater Paris Metropolis takes concrete action to actively tackle climate change effects on its territory. This overall goal underlines the metropolitan action in several policy fields: air quality assessment and management, natural and landscape heritage promotion, energy demand management, noise pollution control, aquatic environments management, floods prevention and energy transition.
